Bruce E. Krenz

Bruce E. Krenz

It is with deep regret that the family of Bruce Krenz announces his passing after a short battle with cancer on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the age of 77. He maintained an awesome attitude even after deciding to stop treatments. A native of Solon Springs, he was fond of telling people that he was born on their kitchen table in Solon, which he indeed was. He was a veteran, serving nearly three-year stint in the Navy. Afterward, Bruce worked at Murphy Oil Refinery in Superior for 34 years until retiring in 1995. His first activity in retirement was hopping on his Gold Wing motorcycle and riding to the West coast. Bruce enjoyed golfing, hunting, motorcycling, cutting wood and tinkering in the garage. Everyone knew whose "Packer Golf Cart" was cruising down the road to and from the golf course.Bruce is survived by his children, Kimberly Krenz-Wozniak of Green Bay, Craig (Jeanine) Krenz of Virginia Beach, Scott Krenz of Solon Springs, and a brother, Thomas (Janet) Krenz of Solon Springs. Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret "Pudge" (Coleman) Krenz; father, Lionel Krenz; wife and mother of his three children, Ardythe (Johnson) Krenz; and son-in-law, Peter Wozniak. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17th, at the Solon Springs Funeral Home with a celebration of life afterward at Soft Pines Resort in Solon Springs. A time of gathering with the family will be held from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Salvation Army or American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left at www.bratley-nelsonchapels.com
