HSDC hosts 'Paws for Love' gala
The Humane Society of Douglas County hosts its 12th annual "Paws for Love" gala April 21 at the Yellowjacket Union at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
The fundraiser features fine food, live and silent auctions, a dessert auction and entertainment.
"HSDC's annual Paws for Love fundraiser is something you won't want to miss," said Michelle Porter, board president. "Come and have a great time while supporting the homeless animals of Douglas County."
Last year, the event raised over $35,000, which goes directly into care for the animals. All animals are vet checked, spayed or neutered, microchipped, wormed, vaccinated and temperament tested, in addition to having other medical needs met, to meet the highest standards in animal welfare.
Every year, the organization matches more than 1,000 homeless pets with families.
Tickets for the gala are $50. To reserve yours, visit hsdcpets.com or call (715) 398-6784.
