Duluth: The Miller Hill Mall hosts the third annual Summer Camp Extravaganza featuring summer camps from the region providing information and hands-on activities for kids 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the court near Barnes & Noble.

Duluth: The Head O'The Lakes Chapter of Military Officers Association of America meets for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Pickwick Restaurant, 508 E. Superior St. Jeanne Rounsville, a graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing and University of Wisconsin-Superior, shares her knowledge about services offered through the Twin Ports VA Outpatient Clinic in Superior and how to access those services. Superior: Join the congregation of Pilgrim Lutheran Church as they honor and support the men and women who work on the Great Lakes. The 68th Annual Mariners' Sunday Worship Service and Reception takes place at 8:45 and 10 a.m. at the church, 820 Belknap St. A special offering will be taken for the Twin Ports Ministry to Seafarers.

Duluth: High school chamber groups perform at 6 p.m. in Weber Music Hall at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Free.

Duluth: Gag me with a Spoon, a community story share with Adeline Wright, begins at 7 p.m. at Zeitgeist Teatro Zuccone, 222 E. Superior St. Free.

Tuesday

Superior: The first construction meeting for the second phase of the project to reconstruct Belknap Street between Hill and Banks avenues begins at 1 p.m. at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, 1701 N. Fourth St.

Duluth: Join four student scholars for free "Nerd Night" presentations on the world's first elements, politics in science fiction, a showdown between Gandalf, the wizard from "The Lord of the Rings," and "Harry Potter" sorcerer Dumbledore, and a demonstration by the UMD Quiddich Club. Nerd Night runs 6-8 p.m. in the Kirby Rafters at UMD.

Superior: Katie LaPlante of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay presents "The Search for Superior Spiders" during the next River Talk at 6:30 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union at UWS, 1605 Catlin Ave.

Superior: The Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435 and auxiliary meets at 7 p.m. at the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center, 305 Harbor View Parkway.
